Sustainability

Come along to the Downing Site on 28 November between 12 and 2pm to try some tasty vegan food! The University Catering Service (UCS) have an award-winning Sustainable Food Policy which works to improve the sustainability of catering across the University. Improving sustainability includes providing more tasty vegetarian and vegan options in response to the higher environmental impact of meat-based meals. The UCS has worked with several Colleges to train chefs in vegan cookery (pictured above), and this Pop-up Café will showcase what they have learned. Come along, bring a friend and learn all about the vegan options which the University Catering Service and Colleges around Cambridge are providing as part of their commitment to providing more sustainable and healthy options. You can even pick up some recipe cards to try at home!
