Stagecoach is expanding their services on 30 June and 1 July to cater for the high numbers of prospective students expected to visit the University on the annual open days. An extra bus will be added into the Uni 4 route, this bus will be diverted via Cambridge train station in order to provide a link between the station and West Cambridge every 20 minutes.
The Plusbus ticket will be accepted on the Uni 4 route on both open days. In addition to this, Stagecoach will accept Plusbus tickets on all Stagecoach services that operate within the Cambridge City area. The £2.70 Park & Ride ticket will also be available for sale and can be used on the Uni 4 service.
The arrangements to be put in place will allow visitors to purchase a Park & Ride ticket on any Cambridge Park & Ride or Uni 4 service. This ticket would then allow the holder to travel multiple times on either service during the day until they return to either a Park & Ride site or Cambridge rail station. Once one of these destinations is reached, travellers cannot use this ticket to board again. Any customer who wishes to purchase a ticket for unlimited travel on all of Stagecoach’s Cambridge services on these days will need to purchase a Dayrider at £4.10.
