Sustainability

The Sustainability Team are very grateful to the 27% of staff and 9% of students who completed our annual travel survey back in October 2020. Now more than ever, your responses really do matter and your feedback is crucial as we look to shape effective and sustainable transport projects. Keep a lookout for our upcoming Let's Talk Transport campaign where we'll be releasing the survey results!

To show our thanks to those who filled in our survey, we selected one staff member and one student at random to receive a £100 prize. Congratulations to Anna Patterson-Lee, posing below with her two main forms of transport. When we chatted to Anna about her commute she let us know:

"I usually drive into work as I also have to do the school run, but over the past year I have been able to cycle in occasionally which has been lovely, and I would like to do it more often (despite the Gog Magog hill!)."

The student prize went to Lucy Pilling, a third year student studying Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at Jesus College. Lucy is the first to admit that she's a bit "choatic on a bike" so mostly walks to her lectures unless she's running late! Whether walking or cycling, Lucy says that: "Cambridge is so beautiful and it is a lovely commute that I currently miss."

We hope that Anna and Lucy enjoy their prizes and thanks again to everyone who shared their travel patterns and opinions with us!
