The University is pleased to announce a new route and revised timetable for the Universal bus service, operating with electric buses, which came into operation from the 2 October 2023.
There will now be a U1 and U2 Universal bus service running every 15 minutes Monday to Friday, every 20 minutes on Saturdays and 30 minutes on Sundays. The new timetable will see the re-introduction of the weekend service to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. U1 Route: Girton Corner, Eddington, West Cambridge, Grange Road, West Road, Queens College, Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge railway station, Royal Papworth Hospital, Addenbrookes outpatients. U2 Route: Girton Corner, Eddington, West Cambridge, Grange Road, Barton Road, Newnham Road, Queens College, Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge railway station, Royal Papworth Hospital, Addenbrookes outpatients. Both the U1 and U2 services will travel along Hills Road to Cambridge railway station before returning to their planned routes above. The new service was officially launched on 29 September at the West Hub.
