Do you currently drive to work from the outskirts of Cambridge? If so, do you spend more money on fuel than you would like? If so, why not register with CamShare to find another member of staff who lives near you to share with?
More than 200 University of Cambridge employees so far have signed up for the car sharing scheme that helps to cut the University's carbon footprint while enabling staff to make significant savings on their travel costs.
Car-sharing is easy to do and can be used for any type of journey including your daily trip to and from work.
- Register online by visiting CamShare and join the University of Cambridge group from the drop down list.
- Log your trip which your offering to car share. You can specify how much you would like to charge per journey, the time of day you travel and days per week that you make the journey.
- Wait for a match!
The University will be working closely with staff to encourage lift sharing and so if there isn't a match now then Liftshare will inform you when one comes up.
