Sustainability

The University of Cambridge’s Green Impact 2018 launch is taking place on 16 October at 12pm, and all interested staff and students are welcome to attend. Green Impact is the University of Cambridge's environmental accreditation scheme (Homerton College are pictured above receiving their award), and is a key initiative as part of the University’s vision of ‘outstanding environmental sustainability performance’. It supports and encourages departments and Colleges to improve their environmental performance. Come to the event to find out about the great sustainability achievements that happened last year, what to expect this year, and everything you need to know for your workplace to take part this year.

The event will be held at Storey's Field Centre, a brand new building in Eddington, the University of Cambridge's new district in the City. The stunning centre won RIBA's 2018 Building of the Year and has been shortlisted for the Stirling Prize, and features a host of state-of-the-art sustainability features. The venue is located just a few seconds' walk from the Universal bus stop on Eddington Avenue, and this year free travel on the Universal bus is being offered to staff and students attending the launch. To claim your bus ticket email travel@admin.cam.ac.uk.
