Sustainability

The University of Cambridge is seeking a knowledgeable and committed individual to join the University's Environment and Energy Section as the Environmental Co-ordinator. This Section is responsible for developing and implementing long-term plans to improve the University's performance across a wide range of areas of environmental sustainability, including carbon emissions, energy use, travel, waste, water, sustainable construction and sustainable procurement.

The role holder reports to the Environmental Officer and undertakes work in a range of areas to support the implementation of the University's Environmental Sustainability Policy. Key elements of the role include assisting in the development of the University's Environmental Management System, coordinating and developing waste management and recycling programmes and delivering a wide range of communication and engagement initiatives.

Candidates should have excellent inter-personal and communications skills and knowledge of a range of environment and energy related issues. In addition, candidates should have experience in the development and management of environmental sustainability projects and engagement programmes.
