Sustainability

Global health is something that we are hearing discussed more and more in Climate Change discussions. In a world where millions are exposed to air pollution resulting in over 7 million premature deaths and nearly a quarter of all deaths worldwide result from people having to live or work in unhealthy environments, the link between a healthy environment and a healthy population cannot be denied.

This February Students for Global Health Cambridge are hosting the 2019 Global Health Lecture Series, featuring a range of lectures and panels promoting discussions and awareness surrounding issues of global health including the impact of Climate Change.

Come along each Tuesday this February to the Fisher Building, St John’s College between 7.30pm and 9.00pm to learn more about this important area of study. The 5 February talk will feature an exciting panel of four experienced speakers with a variety of perspectives on the links between climate change and health, and how we can challenge the effects of climate change through a perspective on health.
