The Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), has released a new summary and infographic to provide key findings from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Fifth Assessment Report (IPCC AR5). It considers the challenges and opportunities climate change poses to the transport sector, from a global to local level.
The Fifth Assessment Report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is the most up-to-date, comprehensive and relevant analysis of our changing climate. Transport accounts for about a quarter of global energy-related carbon emissions, and this contribution is rising faster than for any other energy end-use sector. Without aggressive and sustained policy intervention, direct transport carbon emissions could double by 2050.
