Sustainability

The walking charity Living Streets are encouraging the nation to take to their feet throughout May and pledge to walk for 20 minutes each day.

A daily 20 minute walk can prevent a sedentary lifestyle, boost your mood and improve heart health and blood pressure.

There are a number of ways that you can try to meet the #Try20 target during your workday; you could go on a lunchtime walk or hold a walking meeting. As part of the campaign, Living Streets are also asking people to rate their walks so our cities can be assessed based on how pedestrian friendly they are.

Why not promote National Walking Month and the #Try20 campaign in your department or College?
