Free cycle training

A new cycle training contract has just been secured with Cambridge based Outspoken Training. They offer 1:1 sessions of 2 hours for both staff and students, which can be started at a whole range of destinations around the city. The sessions are aimed at all types of cyclists, from those just starting out and hopping on a bike for the first time, through to experienced riders who might be new to the city. There is also bespoke training for cargo bike riders, those with adaptive bikes or electric bikes, and riders wanting specialist advice on riding with a child sitting in their child seat.

Access real-time bus information

Time your day to perfection with real-time bus and timetable information on your smartphone. You can even create your own panel of tailored information about the stops and routes you use frequently by creating a smartpanel. For more information, visit the Smart Cambridge website

Bike lockers at Park and Ride sites - a few still available!

Free bike lockers are available for staff at Newmarket Road and Madingley Road Park and Ride sites. The lockers enable a bike and accessories such as waterproofs to be securely stored in a weather-proof lockable steel box. Staff can park their car at the Park and Ride site for free, and then continue their journey into the city on a bike, returning it to the locker at the end of the working day.

If you would like a locker please contact travel@admin.cam.ac.uk.
