An annual survey of University staff is undertaken each October, asking staff how they travel to work over the course of one week. The information is used to monitor the effectiveness of the University's Travel Plan. The report is prepared by Travel for Cambridgeshire.
In 2015, 24% of staff responded to the survey. The key findings were:
- 42% of staff cycled to work
- 25% of staff drove alone
- 10% walked
- 8% of staff car shared
- 7% used the bus
- 6% used the train
- The remaining 2% travelled by motorcycle or worked at home on the day of the survey.
