Sustainability

This summer we have paid internships for Cambridge students in our office as well as the opportunity to work at the National University of Singapore in an exchange programme. Students have the chance to tackle real institutional problems here at the University or abroad with professionals in the field. These positions are perfect for students from all disciplines interested in careers in the environmental sector.

The Travel Plan Intern will work with the University’s Travel Plan Manager, Amanda Holden, and create a survey to carry out travel plan audits. This project will help inform travel plan policy and procedure at the University.

The Carbon Management Intern will work with the University’s Carbon Reduction Manager, Sally Pidgeon. This intern will focus on energy use of equipment, specifically in laboratory space. This project will help the University manage the carbon impacts of its equipment.

As part of the IARU Sustainability Fellowship Programme, this summer we will be exchanging a student with the National University of Singapore. This fellowship will focus on a garden project and include research and volunteer management. The selected student will come back to Cambridge and share their learnings with our office. We will take on any best practice from their project.
