Cambridge North station welcomed its first customers last month. Located in Chesterton, the station will provide a connection point for commuters in the North of the city.
Cambridge North will eventually see up to 3,000 passengers taking to its platforms each day. Cyclists and foot passengers can access the station from Cowley Road, Mossbank access or Milton Road and once there, cyclists can make use of one of the 1,000 cycle spaces. Vehicle access is via Cowley Road and there is parking for 450 vehicles.
The station will alleviate congestion as passengers from the north of the city will no longer need to travel to Cambridge Central Station.
